University Watch Program

The University Watch Program...

...is modeled after successful neighborhood watch programs. The program is designed to increase awareness at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. This effort relies on citizens to report unusual or suspicious activities or crimes in progress by phoning the SIUC Police. Students, faculty and staff can help improve campus safety by participating in University Watch.

To report suspicious activity or an actual crime call:

SIUC Police at 453-DPS1 (3771)

If the suspicious person is still in the area: Call 911 immediately.

This will, at the least, give the police a chance to stop and identify the person(s) involved, and provide an explanation as to their activities.
